Alyssa Reinhart lives and works where she was raised in Northern California. Her favorite painting mediums include acrylic paint and watercolor. Constantly exploring and expanding artistically, she uses a variety of other materials in her works such as textiles, wood, clay and plants.

She derives inspiration from nature as well as people, places, history and folklore. The medieval era in particular has been a long time fascination for her as evidenced in her paintings of castles and stitchwork inspired by tapestries of the period. The fantasy tabletop game Dungeons and Dragons is a colorful intersection of modern creative expression and folklore of real history, providing endless inspiration for Alyssa. This is the origin for her artistic persona The Sleepy Cleric.
